Kanako returns home after an evening with her fiance and sees a little girl standing outside. Before she's able to find out who the girl is she hears a strange rattling noise and when she looks up she's struck by something from above. After she wakes up she treats a wound on her head and talks to her friend Miyuki on the phone. After getting off the phone she hears a strange voice say "Your bath's ready." Her boyfriend calls warning her that his ex-wife just attacked him with a knife and he'll be right over. Suddenly she notices steam coming from the bathroom and when she turns off the water a woman wearing all red appears and walks toward her menacingly with a knife. She throws a statue at the woman's head causing her to collapse to the floor and bleed, but she hops back up and proceeds to chase Kanako around the apartment complex.
